Jackson, 22, was handed several golden opportunities throughout the semi-final at Wembley Stadium to fire Mauricio Pochettino's side ahead against City – however squandered them all. In total the Senegalese striker had three attempts on the afternoon, but failed to find the net as City went on to win 1-0 with a late goal.

Speaking as a pundit for on the game, the former Chelsea boss said: "I feel for him a little bit because he made lots of good movement, he’s a young striker, the attributes we saw in him today where he’s racing Kyle Walker, he’s shown pace, he’s shown good movement but there’s a technical detail there, the extra touch, the decision making at the highest level in these highest level of games are the difference.
"The header, you hit anywhere but his body it’s a goal. Little decision making, I feel for him, we’ve all been there, we’ve all missed chances and it’s a critical one for the game. But as a young player that’s the level that you have to be a striker for Chelsea."

After seeing a header from point blank range saved by City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega – as well as missing several one-on-one chances – Jackson and his side ultimately crashed out of the FA Cup. City won thanks to Bernardo Silva's deflected effort in the 84th minute and they will now face either Manchester United or Coventry City in the final.
WHAT NEXT FOR CHELSEA?
The Blues won't have long to think about their missed chances against City as they will now have to turn their attention to a tough London derby against Premier League title contenders Arsenal on Tuesday evening. Chelsea currently sit in ninth place in the top flight of English football but could jump to seventh if results go their way within the coming week.
